The browser Opera Touch is now available for
iOS, and ideal for operating with one hand. The specially designed browser
is intended for large phones without a home button, such as the iPhone XS
Max . This is why.
Opera Touch available for iOS
Opera launched the new browser Touch last
April for Android devices, but the efficient Safari alternative is now also in
the App Store. The app is primarily intended for owners of an iPhone
without a home button, such as the iPhone XS or with a large screen
such as the iPhone 8 Plus .
Touch is designed on such devices, so you can
always operate the app with just one hand. At the bottom is a central
button with which you can do everything that is needed. Also nice when you
have small hands, because you do not have to reach the entire screen to be able
to use the internet.
Touch has a very simplistic look, without the
familiar bars that standard browser Safari has. On the spot where, for
example, an iPhone X or later the iPhone XR will take you
back to the main screen, Touch contains the control button with which you can
search, open or close a new tab.
This makes browsing feel very natural, and
you do not have to continuously swipe the entire screen. When opening a
new tab, it is even possible to quickly scan a qr code. Opening the camera
app is therefore superfluous. The only thing you have to do towards the
top address bar with your fingers is to add bookmarks.
Flow lets you synchronize with desktop
From the button at the bottom of Touch you
also have access to Opera's Flow technology. When you have an Opera
browser open on your Mac or PC, Flow allows you to effortlessly send links,
images and notes from your iPhone to your desktop browser via a 'secure private
connection'.
For that reason Touch does not negate the
sync function of Safari between devices, as long as you use the Opera browser
everywhere. In addition, Touch has a built-in adblocker and protects
against cryptojacking, a way in which criminals obtain crypto coins from
someone else's device.
