Two new iPad Pros are coming. Its screen resolution is likely to remain the same as the current 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch models.
iPad Pro 2018 screen size
Appsee, a company that analyzes apps, has found confirmation that the screen resolution of the two iPads remains the same. Apple extensively tests products before they are released, also testing popular apps and websites. In the Appsee log files six new iPad models appeared to have surfaced, numbered 'iPad8.1' to 'iPad8.5'. In addition, an 'iPad8.8' was found. According to the rumors, the new iPad Pro 2018s will be available in two formats and in variants with and without 4G.
The numbers 8.1 to 8.4 relate to a so-called 'dot resolution' that corresponds to the 2,224 x 1,668 pixels of the current 10.5-inch iPad Pro. The numbers 8.5 and 8.8 have a resolution equal to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, namely 2.732 x 2.048 pixels.

Normally, the fact that the screen resolution remains the same would not be so startling. But this year something else is going on. Apple would have implemented a complete redesign, with narrower screen edges and a Face ID camera. Also the home button is missing, so the physical dimensions of the housing can be much smaller. According to two sources ( including Slashleaks) the iPad is 5.9mm thin and the headphone jack is missing.
No 11-inch
When Apple made similar changes to the iPhone X not only changed the screen size, but also the resolution. With the iPad Pro 2018's that does not seem to happen. Apple seems to want to use the same physical screen size. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted an 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro and thereby created the impression that the screen of the smallest Pro is slightly larger.
But if we can believe Appsee, the screen size will always remain the same. Only the housing becomes smaller.
Appsee has been right before. They discovered the iPad6.8 with a resolution of 2732 × 2048 pixels, just before Apple in October 2015 indeed announced the very first iPad Pro .
Announcement on 22 October?
We expect Apple to announce the 2018 iPad Pros during an iPad event on October 22 (or another date in the same period). They are then in the shop around November, just in time for the holidays. Apple could also announce new accessories and Macs during the iPad 2018 event .
