After the announcement of third-party navigation apps for CarPlay, Flitsmeister was there as the chickens to announce that Flitsmeister is coming to CarPlay . The developers informed iCulture that hard work is currently being done on Flitsmeister for CarPlay. Nothing is known about the exact functions of the CarPlay version, but the step-by-step navigation will at least play a role.

Motorists have had to wait a long time, but with iOS 12, it has finally arrived: support for external navigation apps. Among others, Flitsmeister, Waze and Google Maps are coming to CarPlay. Flitsmeister has officially announced this to iCulture.

Waze is also a popular navigation app that is owned by Google. Yet Waze has a unique style with clear arrows, buttons and directions. The Waze update with support for CarPlay has been available to everyone since the end of September 2018. All you need is version 4.43.4 of the Waze app and a suitable CarPlay radio. Install the update, connect your iPhone and you can navigate with Waze.
The popular offline navigation app Sygic is now also available in CarPlay. It is the special Car Navigation version of the app, which is intended for the installation systems of cars such as Ford, Honda and Pioneer. This version now also works with CarPlay. The advantage of Sygic is that the maps are available offline and that the app shows maximum speeds and 3D views of buildings. Previously Sygic showed in a video how the navigation looks in practice.
You can use this Sygic app for free for seven days. The map of the Netherlands takes up about 200MB. If you want to continue using Premium, you pay a one-off € 79.99. You get lifelong map updates, file information and flash warnings. Sygic therefore looks more like the traditional navigation apps like TomTom.
